I bet you can get as many ectos from CCs as you can get out of ghostly remnants or piles of dwarven poo. ^^

I would say so. Most likely someone selling them and trying to get you to buy their stack(s) of it (or has a friend/guildie selling nearby...)

There's been plenty of rumor's about things salvaging into ecto's that just weren't right.. I'm sure all those who were around... remember the rumor's of Demonic Remains salvaging into ecto's.. and the people who went through 2+ piles of 250 DR and salvaged all of 0 ecto from them

Would think it would be the same this year (I needed the dust, and not the shards).
